Michael Lee is the only escape artist in history to release himself from 2 pair of the 19 th century handcuff called “Bean Giant” with the key holes facing each other -while cuffed behind his back.

Michael Lee escaped the infamous maximum-security jail known as “The Tombs’ in New York in under 12 minutes. Another jail break occurred from a cell in The Citadel, a military fortress in NS, Canada, what made this escape so amazing was the lock and sliding bolt were on the outside of a solid door!

On Long Island, NY Michael succeeded in escaping from a regulation straight jacket, suspended from a burning rope, hanging over 10 stories up in under 3 minutes - a feat never attempted by Houdini

Other jail breaks Michael has succeeded in accomplishing were in Chicago, Il., in Boston, Mass. and most recently Long Island, NY.

Michael Lee has succeeded in escaping from over 300 pairs of handcuffs of various makes fastened on him by over 100 police and law enforcement agencies from around the world.

Michael has escaped from a nuclear containment chamber filled with water- the lid welded on. Escaping in just under 3 minutes, he vowed to never attempt this kind of escape again.

Michael escaped from a 25lb ball & chain made at Levenworth prison as well as 4 pairs of Smith & Wesson hand cuffs fastened on him by local police at the bottom of Long Island Sound in just under one minute.

He has escaped various unique restraints including the famed letter cuffs once owned by Harry Houdini, and most recently the ‘super-cuffs” commissioned by a newspaper & built by a master locksmith of over 30 years experience. Michael was challenged to escape these cuffs by a collector of rare handcuffs and yes, Michael succeeded! This challenge is documented in the book, “challenges” by locksmith Norman Bigelow.

In the past 15 years Michael has successfully released himself from numerous jails, a welded iron box, numerous rope ties administered by the US, Canadian & even the Russian navy, a mortuary cremation chamber, a refrigerator, a spool of fishing line, a coffin, an oak whiskey barrel, a us postal mail bag, a one inch import/export packing case built by home depot, a morgue body bag and from various forms of hospital and institutional restraints, 6 different types of straight jackets, including 1 made entirely of sheet metal.
